The Documentary
Embraceable You
The cornerstone of the Embraceable You Project, the thirty-two minute documentary short film, Embraceable You, encompasses footage of New Hope, as well as its history, and interviews with those who make the town what it is today.
Written and directed by Doug Keith, a local writer/director/producer, the film incorporates both the physical and social beauty of the area. After meeting with Geri Delevich and hearing her ideas about the concept of the film, Doug’s intentions were to create a film “about a town where people embrace the differences in others.” Doug was drawn to the concept and message that Up River Productions expressed in its mission statement. “The idea of working on a project that focused on the things which bring people together, as opposed to tearing them apart, was appealing to me.” Doug hopes that “the audience will walk away feeling not only great about our town, but inspired to tell others about the kind of strong, positive example New Hope could be for other towns across America.”
